Colebridge Young Peoples Club, incorporating Colebridge Table Tennis Club has been successful in their recent application to The Inclusive Communities Fund. The club have been provided with financial support in relation to the following initiatives over the next 12 months:
- TT Kidz – weekly coaching sessions.
- Girls Only – weekly coaching sessions.
- One TT Kidz Festival.
- Four Warwickshire County Girls Only Training sessions.
The TT Kidz programme is targeting players under the age of 11 years, and is a great way for all children to learn new skills in table tennis, in addition to the importance of team work, getting fit, having fun, and making new friends.
The Girls Only coaching sessions attracts new female cadet and junior players to Colebridge, and gives them the opportunity to train together in a comfortable yet challenging environment with fellow female players.
The funding is helping to maintain two qualified and licenced coaches at both coaching sessions per week, as well as the delivery of the TT Kidz festival and County Girls Only training sessions over the next 12 months.
A big thank you to The Inclusive Communities Fund for their support in helping us maximise the legacy of the Commonwealth Games 2022, encouraging more players into Table Tennis from across the Warwickshire County.
